Jerry M. Hultin

CEO, Global Futures Group

Jerry MacArthur Hultin encourages the growth of entrepreneurship and innovation in the lives of young people in communities as diverse as New York City, Shanghai, Singapore, New Delhi, Bogota, and Barcelona.  He is the CEO and leader of the Global Futures Group, a firm the supports the use of 21st-century technology to create smart cities and to improve the quality of life of urban citizens around the world.

In addition, Jerry was recently named as Co-Chair of the Smart Cities Alliance in Malaysia and is an adviser on urban innovation and infrastructure for the World Economic Forum (Davos) and the Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils. 

As a university leader, Jerry was an advocate and architect for programs that increased innovation and entrepreneurship opportunities for his students.  He was the President of the Polytechnic Institute of New York University from 2005 to 2013 and is currently the President Emeritus.  From 2000 to 2005, he was dean of the school of technology management at Stevens Institute of Technology.

Jerry served as the Under Secretary of the Navy for President Bill Clinton from 1997 to 2000, where he led Vice President Al Gore’s programs in business innovation.  He currently serves as an adviser on defense innovation.

In 2017, President Obama appointed Jerry as a Commissioner of the ABMC to maintain memorials around the world that honor American soldiers and sailors who died in WWI and WWII.

Jerry is a graduate of Yale Law School, Harvard’s new president program, and Ohio State University.
