Adham Nadim
Adham Nadim has been the Chairman and Managing Director of NADIM Industries since 1999. The family business has since grown and expanded to several specially built factories over the years. Nadim has spent over 35 years in various capacities managing NADIM Industries. NADIMs main objective is to manipulate Egypt’s cultural heritage to produce modern and practical furniture lines of the highest quality.
Nadim started training at NADIM, at the young age of 14. Receiving a B.A. in Islamic Art and Architecture from the American University in Cairo, in 1986.
In his various capacities at NADIM he has worked on several prestigious projects throughout the world. Given Nadim’s passion for traditional arts and crafts he participated in a six year restoration and conservation project in old Cairo bringing back to life an area containing a 16th century home.
From 2006 to January 2011, Nadim volunteered to join the Industrial Modernization Center (IMC), as Executive Director, with a mission to create an enabling environment in which the private sector can lead growth and make Egyptian Industry leapfrog into global competitiveness, serving over 12,000 factories of all sectors of industry.
Nadim was an active member at the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) assuming various positions over the years including Vice Chairman of the Woodworking Chamber, he served as Chairman of the International Affairs Committee, Deputy Chairman of the Industrial Law Committee and Deputy Chairman of Industrial Modernization Committee at FEI.
Nadim has actively been involved in numerous civil society organizations. He was treasurer and sector head for Furniture and Building Materials of the Egyptian Exporters Association. In 2003 he created “FURNEX” the Egyptian International Furniture Fair. He also served as Chairman of the Furniture Export Council.
Nadim was also a member of the Executive Committee for the Egyptian French Presidential Council as well as the Cultural Council of the Union for the Mediterranean. He also represented FEI in Business Med.
Nadim sat on several boards such as the Egyptian Accredation Council (EGAC), the National Quality Institute, the Industrial Training Council (ITC), the Energy Saving Council for Industry, and the REACH Committee.
